"It is very important that you understand ACID is supporting VST Instruments. ACID 4 will not support VST effects. Peter" Err - this is a bit odd isn't it? |

Why is it odd? They have a common name, but perform two very different functions. The connection of VSTis to the "engine" is VERY different than how VST Fx would be connected. Two completely different parts of the product. The DX wrappers for VST fx work very well. I just don't understand the huge debate over this... Peter |

gotta say, I bought a VST -> DX wrapper just for a couple of plugins which I think are neat, and it works perfectly! I understand why Sonic Foundry wouldn't waste development time when someone else has already done it! :o) Jason |

webpuppy, May I ask you which wrapper ya got? I've heard they are flaky but maybe they have been improved. I have been limitimg my vst plug use to N-Tracks, which allows both vst and dx but I have a few vst's I would like to use with acid. Thanks. |

There are lots of good DX effects around. Have a look here: http://www.thedirectxfiles.com/plugins.htm I just wish SoFo would update their effects to give a BPM rate with their delays. An auto tenmpo sync would be even better. |

>> I just wish SoFo would update their effects to give a BPM rate with their delays. Here here! I'm sick of using Waves power-hungry delays simply because they have BPM. An update of the SoFo delay including BPM rate would definitely be nice; the whole the XFX suite must be a good few years old now and is in need of a revamp/update... Ben |

I always have the calculator or BPM charts handy for the BPM stuff, but I'd love to get rid of them. It's an annoyance to keep having to look up BPM's like 133 and such. The option to use BPM instead for everything that is a time-based effect would be greatly appreciated. Hex |
