Clicking Sound During Preview on CD Audio Extraction -Sound Forge - PC

Does anyone know how to eliminate the clicking sound (digital glitch sound) while previewing during CD audio extraction while using Sound Forge 6.0? I am using an HP Pavilion 8560C Computer with on board "Riptide" sound card. While in 6.0, preview volume is only controlled through Wav Input in Windows Mixer, not "CD In" as it is in Sound Forge 5.0. I do not have this trouble with SF5.0. Would appreciate any assistance.
