When I save a file I put in the ID information I want to appear on the display when the file is played back on a MP3 player. I do this by choosing the "Custom" button when saving. This works fine as long as I don't close the file (title in blue title bar) but when I reopen the file say a day later I seem to have no way to know what I used in the ID tag unless I play the file through a player (on the computer; out of SF). Questions: 1) Is there a way to see the ID tag in SF or w/o opening the file in a player? 2) If all I want to do is change the ID tag must I open and save the file or is there a short cut? Thank you. |

Some MP3 and other audio players, such as MusicMatch, let you edit the tag data through the player. Another tool that I use to apply this data to my files is the Sonic Foundry Batch Converter. I believe it's a free download if you've already purchased Sound Forge. I'm not too sure about the first question, though. |
