Time To Burn DAO Audio CD

When I burn a DAO audio cd using Vegas 3.0c(138), the progress bar reaches 100% complete, but the disc continues to record for approx. 2-3 minutes, then the closing disc dialog pops-up and completes in a matter of seconds. Is there a fix or work-around for this. I am using a Plextor 40-12-40, and a HP 9310i on Windows XP Pro. Both drives have the same results.

The 2 to 3 minutes after is the burner using up the buffer and doing internal writing like lead out. the software reports 100% done because it has sent all of the information to the buffer.
