Split 1 track in others tracks -ACID Product Family

Vegas would be much easier for you. You can drag all the tracks onto the timeline without having to paint them, and you can drop in track markers to burn a CD with multiple tracks. ACID isn't designed for this; it's intended for creating music, not for editing it. Sonic Foundry, it looks like there could be a very big market for a "DJ" program similiar to the old CD Architect software, but with no more power than CD ripping, DAO burning with track markers, trimming, crossfading, and pitch & volume control. It also seems like everyone who wants this ends up with ACID instead of Vegas. Maybe you need a little blurb on the products page directing these people to Vegas instead. While i'm here ... does anyone have some suggestions for some decent real-time DJ software? Yes (sadly) i do get asked to DJ wedding receptions and parties now and then. I've always used the traditional two playback sources (turntables, cassette decks, cd players, etc.) and a mixer. Now however i have all the music i'll need as MP3 files. It sure would be nice to just take a laptop along with me and plug that directly into the amp. I just don't even have a clue what software to look for. Any suggestions?
