SF 5.0 Locks up After loading file and preforming first action. -Sound Forge - PC

I am running Win XP and have been using SF 5.0 for a while and suddenly it started to lock up after I loaded a file and preformed my first process. The only way to reset my PC was to turn the power off from the back. I don't have the fastest PC in the world but it is enough to handle this program. I have been successfully using it for about 6 months on my PC since I installed Win XP. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still no luck...... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...
