has sf addressed the crash recovery issue with sf6 yet? it seems like every couple of weeks sf6 will crash, and the temp file can't be recovered, even though the program will say that it can. I have yet to recover a file that I was working on when a crash with sf6 occured--and since the files I work on are hour-long files for radio broadcast, the deadlines are very tight, and it's getting to be a pain having to start all over from scratch with only a couple of hours till air. if it keeps up, I may have to go back to sf5, or perhaps drop sf altogether for cool edit 2 or something else... |

Several crash recovery issues will be resolved in the forthcoming 6.0b update. Also, unrecoverable temporary files will no longer be deleted, but saved as .wav and stored in the temporary folder. I have no hard dates on 6.0b before anyone asks, but it is on the "weeks" order of waiting-magnitude, rather than "months". |
