Subject:98SE to 2000 problem (5.0 version F)

Here's an odd one that maybe someone can help me with. The company I work for recently insisted we all upgrade to Windows 2000. I've been using Sound Forge 5.0 (version f) sucessfully on 98SE previously. Well wouldn't ya know it - the minute I load Sound Forge 5.0 into 2000 and update to version f, the "open" command is unresponsive, and I have no access to my files. Both the "open" icon folder AND the drop-down command under "file" are unresponsive. The only way to get a file open is to drag it to the workspace or double click on it. And here's the kicker! -- it's the same way with version D and E - only version B seems to be working (so far). How can the old updates work fine when the latest updates don't? I want my version F back! Has anyone else had such a problem? - pup |
