Subject:Batch Converter hangs when converting to Quicktime

I'm trying to use Batch Converter 5.0b to convert DV quality mpgs to any quality Quicktime. The problem I am having is that BC hangs up and either stops processing, or takes an unusually long time to process the file. Even then, only a tmp file is created and remains incomplete. The .tmp file also is deleted when BC is stopped. So the result is no .mov file is created. I can render the file without problems from VV3.0c using the same codec and settings. I have uninstalled BC and downloaded a fresh copy from SF and reinstalled. I have another issue with BC while creating .avi files. BC keeps recreating the file in a loop until stopped. The resulting file can be several hundred meg in size.

Any suggestions.

I had a problem trying to convert avi to hi-res (I believe it was QT) 1000mbps. It would just stop. Not sure what the solution is, but it would be good to know if there's a bug to be squashed...
