I wanted to convert a .wav file to .mp3 through Batch Converter 5.0. I kept getting prompted to buy an mp3 plug in. But the plug-in chain says I have one (version 2.0) and the file was converted to an .mp3. What gives? Is there something I need to do or activate in Batch Converter to avoid this, or, more precisely, the add mentions "unlimited" MP3 encoding. I thought I had that. |

Never mind, I found it. There are a limited number of mp3 files that can be converted. I have something like 18 left, then I have to purchase the plug-in. I see, sorry for the bandwith. It took a little finding to get to. |

You may be able to register for an MP3 license at no additional cost to you from within Sound Forge 5.0 or 6.0. Load an audio file into Sound Forge, then File | Save As and select MP3 as the save as type, then click the Custom button. If you see a Register button in the custom settings dialog, click it to register for an MP3 license. Some versions of Sound Forge that were bundled with other hardware or software may require you to separately purchase an MP3 license. |
