I have a stereo recording which has been seperated left on one tape and right on the other tape, How do I synchronize them to provide a stereo recording? any help would be welcome, Geoff.

It is impossible to retain sync the whole way of the track. The longer the track the further out it will be. Tapes drag and so your sync will suffer.
