The loop unlocker must be purchased. The cost is $19.95. Please call 1-800-577-6642 to order the unlocker. Ted |

Felt bad about the last gobbledegook I posted. There is no loopunlocker unless you consider the little tool the ladies used to unbutton their high button boots. I guess a zipper could be considered one too. It was all a very cruel joke perpetrated on you. PLEASE FORGIVE US!!!????!!!! |

This whole thread is pretty goofed up. I'll take a couple minutes to clarify the scoop and get back to doing my regular job. Some of the OEM versions of ACID 2.0 and ACID 3.0 (Music and Style, I believe for Canopus, and a couple other vendors that it got bundled with) had an extra CD with ~500 loops that were "locked"--in other words, the files were named things like UltraDrum1.wa_, instead of UltraDrum1.wav, and were encrypted. There is another utility called a loop unlocker that could be used to unencrypt. The app had an HTML upsell that popped up on closing that asked if you wanted to unlock the loops--if so, you just follow the links, purchase a serial number for it, and apply it to the loop unlocker program, and it unencrypts all of the loops off of your CD and copies them to your HD as .wav files. We've never shipped a loop unlocker with any of our retail products, so this "product" is a little off the beaten path. HTH, Joel |
