I just installed noise reduction plugin 2.0, I am running Soundforge 6, and I can't find the plugin anywhere in Soundforge, I'm wondering if I installed it wrong, can someone help?

It ended up under DX Favorites / Sonic Foundry in my installation. That's not where it was when i installed the demo versions.

So what do I do to get this plugin going? This is really ticking me off, where do you install this plugin and where should it be when your working in Soundforge?

Don't know if this is normal for everyone else or not, but...

I have to run mine from within the plug-in chainer. I thought I'd be able to pick it off a menu list, but it's not there - only shows up in the chainer (in 6.0).

Like Chienworks said, mine is also under DX Favorites / Sonic Foundry in my installation. I never had the demo version so I can't speak to that.

Ok guys, I got it to work, it was in DX Favorites, thanks for the help. Can anyone suggest some setting if I want to remove some hiss and pops from records?

For the clicks & pops, start with a pre-set, then experment for the best performance setting with minimal or no audible artifacts.
Basically, for hiss, hum or other din type noise, you have to highlight a least a few miliseconds of just the hiss or whatever, (at the head or end of a song for instance, somwhere that contains ONLY what you want to remove.) and check mark: "capture noiseprint", then right-click a grey area of that window and select: "Select all data"
Look in the Help files or the NR-2 manual. (a seperate .pdf file download) for better insructions.

Well, I just ran an old record through this plugin, and I'm stunned at how well it worked, no hiss, pops or crackles at all, very impressive
