I just got Acid Pro 3.0 and I have been using Acid Music 3.0. My question is how do you apply fx to loops? In Music 3.0 all you had to do was select a sound and choose from the dropdown and it applied it directly to the loop. In Pro 3.0 I select a loop and choose a fx and it brings up the assignable fx box where I can change the fx. The problem is I do not hear that fx on the actual sound loop when I play it back in Pro 3.0. Do I have to hit a certain button to apply the fx to the loop? I do not know what I am doing wrong and cannot find any documentation on it. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me to figure this out. Thanks in advance! TC |

no..what you do is hit the little green box on the right of the name of the loop. that will bring up the Direct X Plugin box. select your plugin, click ADD or double click on it then hit OK. that will bring up the effect itself, then just adjust it or use a default preset. there ya go! -Sin http://zwap.to/ft13 |

Thanks sin that was just what I was missing. Can you recommend any good tutorials on Acid Pro 3.0 besides the ones at SF's website? Thanks for all your help! |

Check out www.acidfantic.com. He's got a few useful tutorials on his site. Also, if you have not done it yet, check out the Acid Planet site. It's kind of hard to navigate and there's loads of garbage on it, but you should find some useful tips on there as well if you look hard enough. And one more: I have not read it, but I have heard from several people that the book entitled "Teach Yourself Acid in 24 Hours" (or something to that effect) is a pretty decent book. |

Thanks for all the help guys. You guys are great. I was also wondering is there any way to get the previous installments of the Bill Laswell get media loops? Also, the loops in the get media section say they where put there on 6-4, but where for July. Are these June's or July's loops? I would be willing to trade for these old get media loops. I have a pretty good selection of SF loop libraries and others. Thanks again for all your help! |

I'm sorry but once the month has ended, the Get Media loops are no longer available. It's also illegal to distribute old ones. Have you been able to obtain Get Media for July? I had no problem, so if you still can't see them please contact Customer Service. Finally, as long as we're on loops and since not everyone checks out the newest loop libraries, I feel obligated to mention that the Mick Fleetwood: Total Drumming page has a link to bonus loops. I haven't unzipped them yet, so I've no idea what they consist of. Still, free is free... Suzan Sonic Foundry |
