Subject:Acid 2.0 freezes using audiowerk2 to record help!!! Posted by: ROLANDITO Date:6/25/2002 6:16:11 PM I just installed my new audiowerk2 soundcard from emagic and everything went well as far as installing it. I could hear sound but it freezes up on me when i hit the record button. I selected the desired soundcard for the program. Acid works fine on record/playback when i select and use my old Ensoniq PCI card though. But with my cakewalk pro 8.0, both cards works wonderful with no problems at all. Here are my specs: Win 98, PII 350, 512 mb, Audiowerk2, Ensoniq PCI card, Diamond stealth II video card, Sony 40x cd, Yamaha 4x4x16 cdrw, IBM 10 gig 7200 rpm HD, 440bx asus motherboard, Art micpre via s/pdif. I urge you to get rid of the Audiowerk 2 card, it is like a weak little toy compared to the Midiman Audiophile 24/96 card. I got mine used for $120 off Ebay and it is rock-solid with very clean sound. I think I will keep my audiowerk and run it through spdif for now until i save enough denero to buy the aadvark Q10. $50 from guitar center I think its a score. it came with free dsp plugins and logic gold.
