recording problem in SF (Delta 1010) -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:recording problem in SF (Delta 1010) Posted by: mactra Date:6/27/2002 1:34:15 PM hi i'm a longtime user, but completely stumped. seems that the following is pretty simple, but SF won't record: I'm using a hardware sequencer to drive a software drum sampler with audio going out of channels 1&2 of my delta 1010. this is routed through my mixer and compressor and into input channels 3&4 of the 1010. signal is present throughout the chain and i can monitor it through outputs 3&4. monitor mixer is turned off in the delta software and i've turned off the SF outputs, so there are no feedback problems. SF is set to record the signal from inputs 3&4 (which again, IS present)... however, the SF input meter shows no signal and SF just hangs when i try to record, resulting in a tiny file of a high-pitched noise. i'd really appreciate any help i could get from you fellow users. thanks, mack
