Batch Converter 5.0b not cooperating -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Batch Converter 5.0b not cooperating Posted by: VU-1 Date:6/26/2002 11:49:11 AM When I use BC 5.0b to process .wav files, what I get is NOT what I expect. I am using the exact same plug-in package as I had set up in VV3 - however, the result is about 7 dB hotter and is clipped like crazy. It almost sounds as if the file got double-processed. (See the thread "* * * * * MAJOR BUG FOUND * * * * * ".) I have made Tech Support aware of the problem, but I bet it wouldn't hurt to slam them with a few more e-mails. JL OTR

We ran a whole set of files through a little light processing and the end result was TRASH. This sounds like what was described in the "Major Bug" thread back in June, but there's nothing about it in the knowledge base. some simple processing that works fine in Sound Forge 6.0, but when you try to do the same thing one a list of files in batch conveter you get a messed up file. We have before and after files, of course. darius

However, I've batched an entire folder of .wav to WMA & RM with no problem (of course, they were done on the 56k template, so any subtle flares wouldn't be detected). It's too bad -- BC 5 sets up and works like a champ.
