Ok, this may seem elementary to y'all, but I can't get the audio to record. I have my mixer plugged into the input socket in the back of my computer, however the audio levels don't show anything going through. Am I plugged in the wrong socket? Am I not enabling the right things? What do I need to do? Rich |

First, make certain your mixer is connected to the Line in jack of your sound card and not Mic in. Double click on the icon in your lower right task bar that represents the mixer for your sound card. Different mixers/sound cards will give different screens. Go thru the various options and you should find setting screens for playback and recording. Make certain Line in is set to be used and not set to mute. Some menus will identify some inputs in a manner that is not readily apparent just what they are for - experiment. Perhaps someone else will have better suggestions. |

Your suggestion sounds good to me. My suggestion is to NOT get started. I got my Sound Forge system started over 4 years ago, now I need "Help getting finished". |
