Subject:Can Sound Forge burn mp3's with cues?

I'm trying to burn 1 long mp3 (over 70 minutes). I want to be able to put CD track indexes, or cues in the file to seperate 1 song from the other. Is this possible?

The only way to do this entirely within Sound Forge would be to split the file up into separate files for each song, then burn each file as a track one at a time. This will unfortunately leave 2 second gaps between songs.

You can use Sound Forge to split the file up into separate files for each song, then use whatever CD burning software you prefer to create a DAO (disk at once) audio CD from these files.

Or, use Vegas which allows you to specify the track starting points with a simple press of the N key on the timeline. (I just responded to your question about this in the Vegas Audio forum.)

No, if he burns a CD in DAO mode, he can remove the gaps between tracks!
The only "gap" that is still going to remain is the one before the first song, at the beginning of an audio CD, which won't make any differnece during playback anyways.

Edin, correct about DAO burning. However, SoundForge only does TAO burning, hence the SoundForge only solution would give the two second gaps.
