Subject:File truncated when processing large .wav or .avi files

I'm trying to process (SF's Noise Reduction plugin) a large (~40 Gig) .avi file (this happens on a large .wav as well). When loaded, the .avi file appears properly in SF. After applying the plug-in, a percentage, say 60% of the file gets processed and the rest has been truncated. On some plugins, the entire file winds up disappearing. Is there something I need to set to get things to work? Using WinXP.
