I have noticed in 2 different occasions that my recordings have skips in them. I am recording to an very fast notbook 44khz 16b stero and now and then it sounds like a record skipping or the needle jumping to the next groove. Load on the CPU at the time was only @ 5% Thanks ahead of time. -d |

Close all non-essential programs like screen-savers and virus apps. Defrag and run scan disc before a session too. At least that's what I do on 98se, and it eliminated some occational stuttering and skip-type problems. |

For recording, I prefer to use SF 4.5 instead of 5.0 or 6.0. (I may be crazy, but I think the recordings sound better). I am running SF 4.5 on Windows XP with no problems whatsoever. Runs great! |

<<I am running SF 4.5 on Windows XP with no problems whatsoever. Runs great! >> Yes but this limits you to 16 bit files. I do a LOT of editing in 24 bit (files imported from Vegas projects), so this wouldn't help me. drbam |
