Subject:The Roland 2480, MPC 4000, and Acid Music 3.0

Ok, I have a song I created in ACID Music 3.0. I need to get it out of Acid and into either the Roland 2480 recorder OR an MPC 4000, 3000, or 2000.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this stuff :)

I don't know about the MPC models, but I know the 2480 can import WAV files, so I'd recommend rendering your ACID projects to WAV format and import them that way.

(Similarly, the 2480 can export WAV files too, so you can bring tracks from the 2480 into ACID as well.)

Thanks... is there any way to keep the acid tracks separate while keeping the sequence and time true? Basically, I want to get all of my tracks into the 2480 or the MPC so I can maneuver them, add stuff to them, etc.

TIA

Oy. There is a way, but both features are available in ACID Pro 3.0 only.

With ACID Pro 3.0, you can either export the tracks as loops (if a track has a tempo or key change, ACID Pro will create a separate loop just for that change) or save each track as a separate file (complete with any FX, changes, etc.).

With ACID Music 3.0, I can maybe suggest soloing each track, set the Loop Region over all the events on the track and render to WAV that way. However, this will take a lot longer than if you had ACID Pro, so be sure to set aside some time. Other than that, you can render the whole project to WAV, but you obviously won't be able to work with the project as separate tracks.

I always tell people to always research and compare the versions of ACID that they're considering to buy, just to make sure it meets their needs in the future.
