Subject:File Not Opening in Sound Forge

The other day, I converted a sound file (48 MB)from a proprietary audio editing system called Dalet. I believe it's a French company. They do provide a way to convert the audio to an mp3 file. I converted the file, burned it to a CD, and brought it home. Sound Forge said it had codec errors opening the file and that the file had no audio. Yet I could play it and hear it both in Winamp and in Real Audio. Can anyone give me any suggestions as to why the file would not play in Sound Forge? Could be a bad conversion for sure, or something else wacky, but the "no audio in the file" prompt is what really interests me. Thanks a lot. |
