The lite version supports up to 8 tracks, the full version I believe has unlimited tracks (I guess that system resources will be the limiting factor). This assumes that your soundcard has the appropriate connections for getting your sound into the computer (1/4" or RCA for line level sources, XLR connectors for mics...or you can use an impedance matching transformer with an XLR to 1/4" converter for the mics). I don't know much about the computer recording thing myself, but I believe this is all you need
