I have Acid 3 Pro and had done some work with some of the free loops from the members area media. After changing my system, backed my work to a CD that is now corrupt. Does Anyone know how I can get the free members area media from past months, March 2002 to mid 2001? I'm desperate and any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

I believe it's a one off kinda thing. Get it while you can. I have burned everything from the last year to CD...what clips do you need? Cheers, Cuzin B |

Well - before we get into any other files - lemme check my stash and see if I can fill out what you have here. A quick look tells me that I should have all this stuff... I should also mention that I dispense with the original archives after I download them. What I mean is I unpack all the files into separate folders so they are easily accessible to any of my apps...so I will have to repack. I have a company ftp site so if Sonic Foundry doesn't have a problem with a re-upload, then maybe we can work something out. I will update you here when I can check out my filesets. Cheers, Cuzin B |

Just a reminder here. It is not legal to distribute Sonic Foundry loops, whether they are from our Loops for ACID loop libraries, the free 8Packs on ACIDplanet, or the Get Media loops inside ACID PRO 3.0. You are free to use the loops in your music in any way that you prefer, but distributing the loops themselves is not allowed. In this case, it seems like it's just one ACID PRO member helping another ACID PRO member, so there you go. But in general, the Get Media content is intended to be an exclusive bonus to registered ACID PRO 3.0 users. So if we hear of people distributing the Get Media loops to just anyone, we put a stop to it. Dave Hollinden Producer, ACIDplanet.com |

Thanks for clarifying the issue. I am an ACID Pro registered memeber. The CD-RW I had backed up my music files too (including loops) is corrupted and can not be read. It contains a lot of the loops. I still have the ACID files but not some of the loops to continue working on the files. I was stuck and CuzinB had offered a welcome solution. I had spent time working on these files and hoped someone would be able to help. austinhk |

Dave, Kinda thought I should run it by you guys. I am registered to the Max for all SF apps and I am very dedicated follower/supporter of both Acid Exclusive Media and Acid Planet. So could I help this guy out? Or does this represent a conflict for you guys. I am cool with any decisions that you make... Let me know what you think. Cheers, Cuzin B |

If it helps, I can send the proper registration info to the proper person(s) responsible for verification that I am registered. Thanks! austinhk |

In this case, go ahead. It all seems on the up-and-up to me. I just wanted to clarify our position in general so that all sorts of non-ACID PRO users didn't think that they could freely get the Get Media content just by asking around. Dave Hollinden Producer, ACIDplanet.com |

AustinHK, Sorry for the wait. I have checked my stash and I believe that I have everything. However, advertising my FTP on this board is probably not a good thing. So - if you have an email that you can leave here, we can discuss the details further. Cheers, Cuzin B |

Cuzin B, If you have such capability, set up austinhk as a user and assign him an alphanumeric password on your FTP site. (In short, don't put it in your anonymous FTP folder.) Iacobus |

Iacobus I have had issues in the past with making my company site known and then having a hundred kids think they can hack in after the 10:00 news is done. This way is much better since I make the initial contact. (and I can check it in my own devious ways :) Cheers, Cuzin B |
