I get the following sequence: 01. forge xp splash 02. grey popup saying "scanning for audio plug-ins..." 03. forge splash disappears 04. forge stops responding 05. rundll stops responding I have removed all the DXi I can find. A short while after rundll stops responding, I sometimes get the following blue screen error, from which I can 'continue normally': An exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C0031A60 in VXD ---. This was called from 0028:C00301F9 in VXD ---. I know this might not be a forge problem, but forge consistently produces it; any help finding the actual culprit would be greatly appreciated! Forge doesnt run with this happening. I am running the latest DX drivers, latest Audigy drivers. Creative Wavestudio (came with audigy) sometimes has trouble like this, but often just starts up and runs. Forge never runs. :(
