Subject:When opening MP3 in SF4.5, only opens partially

Hello. I am using SF4.5 on Windows XP (just upgraded to XP). I have an MP3 file I'd like to save as WAV so I can burn it onto a CD. The MP3 song is about seven minutes, all of which plays fine on Windows Media Player. However, when I open it into SF4.5, only the first 4 minutes come up. Other MP3 files, even ones much larger, open fine in SF4.5; only this one has this problem. Yet, as mentioned, the file does play in its entirety in MP3 with Windows Media Player. I have 128 MB RAM and close to 1GB hard-disk space free. Any ideas why it won't open in its entirety in SF4.5?

Thanks,
Michael

No ideas here on your opening problem. However, i do have a suggestion. Most CD burning software i've seen has the ability to burn audio tracks from MP3 files as well as from WAV files. See if you can burn that file directly to an audio CD. If it works, not only will it be on the CD, but you should also be able to rip it back as a WAV file if you wish.
