Long before I got Sound Forge 6.0, my old motherboard was replaced in an emergency with an Intel 815EAEP2 with on-board audio using the SoundMax 3.0 system. The old sound card, a Sound Blaster 64AWE, was taken out and the new motherboard sound used. So I have that plus Win98SE, and a P3-850 plus 250 MB of SDRAM. I've been poking around on the support site (I haven't installed Sound Forge as of yet) and wonder how the on-board audio on the motherboard is going to react with the Sound Forge application. I mainly plan to use Sound Forge for radio program production using mostly voices with a little bit of music here and there for themes or exit music, a la NPR. Does Sound Forge have a history of working well with such devices as integrated audio? And while I'm at it, I've been using Total Recorder 3.4 to record digital soundfiles of such things as CD audio and streaming audio and other software audio applications, like a TV card. Is this something Sound Forge can do, and if so, what control on the Multimedia Windows Sound panel is in charge of streaming audio content so Sound Forge can record it? Thanks for any help and I look forward to using Sound Forge. |

Of course the Sound Forge can work with integrated sound cards! If Windows recognizes and installs any devices properly, Sound Forge should have no problems with them either. So, don't worry, and go ahead! Why don't you try it? |

I thought so. Thanks. Any thoughts on the Total Recorder question? |
