This might be an old question but how can I edit and MP3 file and save it without recompressing it? |

Save it in an uncompressed format like WAV or Sonic Foundry's own compressed-but-lossless PCA format (though you can't use the format in other non-Sonic Foundry products). Save it in WAV or PCA format first before commencing with editing. HTH, Iacobus |

There are some good MP3 editors which allow for non-destructive MP3 editing. They simply apply the changes to the blocks of MP3, not to the whole file. I am surprised by Sonic Foundry as not having that capability intheir programs, because they are able to do so, but haven't yet! |
