I have a CD-Rom and a cd-writer connected to the same IDE. the reader is master and the recorder is slave.

WHen i want to extract an audio track, I have to put the cd in the cd writer to see the track listing. If i select the cd-reader the list is always empty.

Does someone have the same problem?
PS: I have Win 98 Se in French.

i always use the writer to read audio tracks. but then, i have a very old and slow cd-rom player, and when i tried to extract audio using the cd-rom i got lots of errors.

is it a problem that you have to use the writer? seems to work just fine for me.

as for why your \cd-rom doesn't show audio tracks, it probably can't read audio digitally, so it cannot read or show the audio tracks.

My cd-rom is able to do a digital read, it's only in SF6 that the tracks are not shown. All other programs are able show the track in both drives
