can i get acid (5) to click during playback/recording as the whole tempo function seems pointless to me unless i have a click to work by? the only metronome i have found is within the beatmapper, not the main window.

I know this sounds stupid, but have you thought about picking a digital metronome up at your local music store?

Use a simple hit hat drum loop. Your can find plenty of them on the net.
