I just updated my machine to Win 2000. Since then i can no longer see any of my wav files in Acid Pro 3.0. Anybody else had this problem or know a solution?

Cheers Matt.

I had that problem and thought I was hosed. Tech support told me to hit F5 (refresh). The problem was gone before I had to. Scary tho.

My latest problem is that the render box will not close after a render hits 100% I have to shut down A3g cold to get out. I repaired Acid and still the same act.

I also crash frequently after hitting stop. And kernel32 quite often too. No other program on any other computer I have ever used since P75s has ever been so unstable.

Acid 1 on my PI 166 with 96mb ram would run more tracks and was useable as a multi-track. Now with a PIII 550 and 256mn ram, A3g is nearly useless.

Not to put a bee in your bonnet, but it's not always the software's fault. I haven't had any real life-stopping problems with ACID Pro 3.0 ever since it came out and especially after I upgraded to Windows XP. (Blue screen go bye-bye.)

The reason why you need a more powerful system for the latest incarnation? Probably because ACID's audio fidelity is getting better with each version. (It's time stretching algorithm is much better than ACID 2.0's.) More audio fidelity=more power needed to predict/render how a sound is produced when stretched to a different key or tempo.

Let me say (once more) that ACID was never intended as a multitrack app in the truest sense; that title belongs to Vegas.
