Subject:Saving part of a project as a separate WAV file

I just recently bought Acid 3.0 and I have a question. I mixed and remixed about 13 songs onto 1 project. I then rendered the entire mix as a wav file, so I have a 59 minute mix. Here's the problem, I would like to split (or cut) the project at separate points, highlight each one (one at a time) and save as a separate song. What I eventually like to have is a string of sequential wav songs that I can record one after the other so that it sounds like one long Mega-mix, yet gives you the oportunity to skip from song to song. I tried splitting the mix and highlighting parts of it then rendering as a new track. This did not work, I ended up with lots of dead air or ,repeatedly, all 59 minutes under the name I gave to the individual "split". Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks, Cruz |

You will have to move your work over to Vegas or Soundforge to do this. Cuzin B |

Hi raider! Well it seem simple to me! But i've bnot tried it!! 1-Put REGION marger to select the 13 songs zones 2-select REGION 1 (make sure the loop fit the region (its audomaticaly done by pressing 1 on the keyboard)) 3-Make RENDER AS and check "only LOOP REGION" 4-It render only the REGION with all the tracks that are not muted. 5-Do this till REGION 13 6-Now you have 13 WAVs 7-Use NERO and remenber to disable the 2sec GAP between tracks 8-Burn 9-You've got it :!!: Enjoy!! I have used a shareware program from www.cdwave.com to do what you want to do. Very simple...you open the wave file and on the display determine where you want splits and saving gives you individual .wav files when burned DAO in a burning program leaves no gaps between songs. The software is simply designed to split long .wav files into separate and has a VERY basic .wav editor. I am not affiliated with CDwave. Steve |
