Anyone try mixing from one file to another and preview before oking? All I get is an overlaying of sound from the begining of the sound file and not a preview of the mix at the expected points. |

I've tried everything and can not get it to preview a mix properly. I either get the audio to be mixed starting at the head of the sound file I'm mixing to instead of the mix point or I get nothing at all. I've changed the pre/post settings are get no change...what do you have your pre-roll and post settings set at? Thanks! Don |

Don - What are the files? 44.1 16bit stereo? Let me know all the specs and I'll try to repro. If it's a bug, there's a chance Sonic could fix it in time for 6.0a |

I'm not finding that it matters whether it's a 44.1 or 48 16bit stereo or mono file. I've duplicated the settings from SF5 and still get the same results. When I drag a selected piece of audio from one file to another the preview plays both sound files together from the start, even if I'm draging the audio to the end of the existing sound file. Funny, didn't have this problem in the beta versions. |

try as I might, I can't repro this problem. I open two files, mono or stereo, select a portion of one and drag it to the other. Preview. I hear both exactly at the times I selected. |

I cannot reproduce this either, but I'd like to look into it a little further. Can one of you who is seeing the problem just email me directly with precise steps to reproduce? File type and format, channel selection, dragging or keyboard, new or existing files, any other edits beforehand, etc. Even a couple short files wouldn't hurt. Thanks, jasonv@sonicfoundry.com |
