I know many others have posted regarding this problem over the past year or so - you select Get Media in ACID Pro 3.0 and get an error screen saying "ACID did not detect an internet connection." The standard SF response is to run "Repair Internet Explorer" from the Add/Remove menu. I've done that a couple of times to no effect. I've disabled all firewall and virus software and it still won't recognize the connection. Any other ideas? |

What happens if you select "File | Publish Setup..."? That's a similar ACID interface to the web... -julian |

I was able to connect and register although it was fairly slow-going. |

Not at the moment. We haven't forgotten and are still looking at it. Suzan |

Sorry to say, we're out of ideas. The only one suggestion is from a web guy, "The only other thing I can think of is to get into a different online environment than he's in right now. Possibly try dialing in through a modem and a free AOL account (most people get the CDs with 100 hours free for the first 3 months or whatever). But that's a horrid workaround." I agree that's cruddy and it might not work. You might want to post this on ACIDplanet. Maybe someone there has seen this and has a solution. Meanwhile a devlopment team member has it on his list of thing to look into... Suzan |
