Subject:Error in saving files in SF6

I've upgraded SF5 to SF6 (build 132) and have run into problems saving files. An error message appears every time I try to save after performing any work on the file. I can save as a different file name. The message is "An error occurred while saving one or more files. The file could not be created." Any insights? Thanks. |

This is a bug. It will be fixed in the 6.0a update, which should be available in a week or two (but don't quote me on that). In the meantime, you can try one of the following: 1) set your temporary folder (Options->Preferences->Perform tab) to something on the same partition as the file you are editing. 2) hold down Ctrl+Shift while selection Options->Preferences, select the "Internal" tab, and set the entry labeled "Enable quick, natively-supported file saves" (near the bottom of the list) to FALSE. This will affect save performance in several cases, but will circumvent the error until 6.0a is made available. Sorry for the inconvenience. |
