I'm getting the message fairly frequently in SF5.0 (if I leave to browse the web while a SF operation is completing) that "another application has modified the file." I am forced to clear the undo history and rebuild the peak data. What is this? |

Thanks Doug I've seen this too in SF5, but I didn't know if it was something I had done. George Ware |

OK, George, that makes two of us. Does anyone else experience this or know what it is? - Doug |

Occasionally, strange file times reported by Windows will trigger this warning when you switch focus back to Sound Forge. If it is getting in your way, you can disable this behavior altogether by holding down Ctrl+Shift, selecting Options->Preferences, selecting the "Internal" tab, and setting the entry called "Validate Files on Activate" to FALSE. It should be near the top of the list. ...or you could give Sound Forge 6.0 a test drive ;-). |
