I just upgraded to SF6 (the Noise Reduction bundle was the item I needed, otherwise I would have skipped the upgrade). Now, every time I start up SF6, it tries to establish a connection to a server at Sonic Foundry. Does anyone know what type of data the program is uploading from my hard disk to Sonic Foundry's server? |

We do not upload information from your hard drive. What you're seeing is probably the "Net Notify" window, which lets you know when product updates and new peoducts are available. Feel free to disable it in Options/Preferences. There is a preference at the bottom of the General tab that says "Use Net Notify to Stay Informed About Sonic Foundry Products." Disable it and you won't see that anymore. Ted |

>>"Use Net Notify to Stay Informed About Sonic Foundry Products." Disable it and you won't see that anymore. Thanks, that seems to have solved the problem. |
