1. Can I record multiple channels in Acid 3.0 Pro in other words can i record guitar in a channel and vocals in an other at the same time? 2. Can I choose to record in a Bus instead of Master? 3. What's the different in audio device type between windows classic wave driver and sound mapper, which fo them is better for recording and playback? 4. I want to record for example a guitar with wahwah plugin but I want to listen the previous recording tracks normal and only the guitar (in realtime) with the effect so the player guitar can hear the final recording result. Is there any directx plugin for acid? 5. Where can I find a harmonizer directx plugin? 6. How can I send a loop (with some marks I added) from acid to Soundforge 5 and continue to have the marks? 7. Can I assign keys buttons or keyboards buttons to (start/stop) play loops? (I want that for live concerts). Is there any other program for that? I use AcidPro3 and Soundforge5 in WinXP Pro and I have a PIII 733 with 512MB RAM and SB Audigy Platinum. Thats all, sorry for my Engish... Michael |

1. Yes. You'd need a multi-input audio interface to do so though, like a mixer or something like M-Audio's Delta series of cards. 2. Not exactly sure what you mean, but you can output different busses to different installed/connected hardware if you'd like. 3. Definitely select "Windows Classic Wave Driver" if you'd like to specifically select different soundcards and audio interfaces that are installed in your system (via the "Default audio playback device" setting immediately underneath). In relation to answer 2, if you do not select "Windows Classic Wave Driver", you will also not be able to assign busses to different hardware. 4. There are a number of SF's own plug-ins—XFX 1, 2 and 3. One of them has a Flange/Wah-wah. I don't believe, though, you can listen to the effect applied to, say, a guitar in real time. You can, however, apply it post recording. You might be better off applying your own wah effect externally via an effects pedal or something similar. 5. I can't help you out here exactly. (Sorry.) Maybe someone else can give advice here in the forum? 6. That really can't be done but the question's been asked before. Remember that if you have a suggestion for a product, always contact Sonic Foundry and let them know. They really listen. Just remember to be sensible about the suggestion. 7. No. (See answer 6 above.) I've heard ableton's Live is a good product for that, but I can't make any guarantees as I don't use the product. That's a great system. Top it all off with a (true) 24-bit solution like the ones I suggested in answer 1. Other great choices are Echo and Terratec. You won't want to go back to the Audigy after checking them out. Your English is very good. At least you don't scream in all caps. :o) HTH, Iacobus |

Regarding 1), i was under the impression that ACID only allows recording one track at a time. You can add additional tracks as needed, but only one at a time. |

Acid allows recording 1 STEREO track at a time. Stereo=two tracks, so if you split the signal L/R you can get two track MONO recording. Then in Sound Forge, split the two channels into their own respective .wav files. |

1. Yes - but it's a huge hassle in Acid. Move over to Vegas LE or the full verison of Vegas for real multitracking. 2. Master is assigned to ever song by default. You don't record to a bus...you record to a track. The buses are for effects assignment. 3. Windows Classic to do all recording. 4. Tons of plugins out there - but again...I would not spend one second trying to multitrack in Acid. It's purpose is to assemble and playback loops - not handl multitrack recording. 5. Define harmonizer. Vocals, guitars - what do you want to harmonize? 6. Should be no problem - you mean markers right? Haven't had to do it but it works in all other Sonic Foundry apps like that. 7. Not sure about assignment. Don't think you can customize that but start/stop is easy by using the spacebar on the keyboard. Tip: For real quality recordings - I would get rid of that Soundblaster and move up to a pro-level card like a Delta or an RME. Cheers, Cuzin B |

Thanks for the answers ... About the questions 4 can be done in Acid (or Vegas) just for one channel recording? (to listen the recording channel with the effect and the previeus normal) For q 5 I need them both vocals and guitar harmonizer. About q 6 when I used Acid 2 and send loops to Sforge 4 the markers were there but now...? |
