Hi Group, Does any one know how to reduce the latency between ACID Pro 3.0 And Digital Performer? I have Acid slaved via Motu Midi Express XT and Acid starts a couple of beats late. Thanks, in advance. |

I'm not sure if this will help, but I've been using Acid 2.0 and now 3.0 slaved to Performer for a couple of years now with no problems. You do, however, need to give Acid a couple of measures to chase/sync up. I always leave two empty measures at the beginning of the song to allow Acid to chase the Midi Time Code. On my setup, at the same time Acid is chasing Performer, Performer is chasing my ADATs which are generating MTC through a J.L. Cooper dataSyncII. If I attempt to have Acid chase the ADATs there are real problems, but everything is fine when Acid chases the more stable Performer clock. I'm sure you have both Acid and Performer set to the same frame rate, but you might want to double check. Also, since your offset time is always 00:00:00:00 you don't need to change the offset time. Should you ever put digital or analog tape into the equation and need to specify an offset time other than zero, it can be done, it's just hidden and not really covered in the manual. Make sure your time ruler is set to SMPTE and you have returned your cursor to the beginning of the song. Then go to View/Time Ruler/Set Time at Cursor and set the cursor time to your SMPTE offset time. Good luck. |

Thanks for replying to my question miller, I apprecaite all of your advice. I think the two empty measure thing might solve the problem. I'll also check the frame rates on both too. And the SMPTE offset time is another issue I hav not checked Thanks Again. Wham5 |
