Can anyone tell me whether you can obtain/make DLS sound sets?
I dont quite understand what DLS is!
But basically! the demo from ACID PRO3 has a small DLS drum kit played as a MIDI track type! If I could make my own, it would be pure heaven!
The thing I like about this is that you can use the plug-ins on this type of MIDI track!
On a similar note - Has anyone used the Roland Virtual Sound Canvas as a midi out?
The reason I ask - is when rendering finshed Songs I know that DLS MIDI tracks or MIDI trakcs played through the MICROSOFT SOUND MAPPER are also rendered into audio! I'm assuming this would happen with VSC too? If this works It saves me recording my MIDI tracks in as audio and I've heared the sounds are quite acceptable from the Sound Canvas!

DLS stands for, "Downloadable Sounds." More info can be found here.
