Subject:Help! Illegal Operation

I'm using windows XP with Soft Encode, and it is extremely tempermental. I used it fine this morning, and then later, I started getting illegal operations when I tried to encode. I was doing the exact same thing. What is wrong? is there a patch, anything?? HELP!!!
