How does one tell Acid 3.0 where to save project files? Acid always defaults to C:\program files\sonic foundry\acid 3.0. In order to save the project to a different location on my hard drive I have to navigate through several folders. How can I tell Acid what my preferred save location is? I can't seen to find this option in preferences or anywhere else as in most other applications. |

First go to the location where you want to save your acid files and create a new folder and label it. Then go into acid click options, preferences. There will probably be two locations to browse one for you default audio editor and one for your temporary storage. Click on the browse icon next to "temp storage." locate the forder you created 2 minutes ago and viola. |

originally posted by rednroll & sonicjg: That's easy, I set up a default project that I start every new session with. In that Default project I have it directed to record in one specific folder. So everytime I start a new project, instead of clicking on the Acid Icon, I click on my Default project Icon which has all my presets ready to go and everything is already set up the way I prefer to work. To do this, save a project, FavoriteRecordDirectory.acd to your D:\RecordingSpot directory, or whatever. Every time you open that project and record into it, it'll save the recordings there, rather than C:\Sonic Foundry...\ACID. Then just browse to D:\RecordingSpot, create a shortcut to FavoriteRecordDirectory.acd, and add it to your desktop, or even your program group at <C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs>. this was excellent advice and i have had no problems with this setup. just be sure not to overwrite your new file..... |
