(if not, what about Vegas audio LE?) - Can I have unlimited tracks and burn the song to disc? - what are the "best" Acid/3rd party plug ins? (Im doing mostly acoustic guitar/vocals/bass) Thanks everyone!!!

It's not designed to do that. It's mainly a loop-based app that can do a few tracks of audio in a pinch. Go to Vegas or one of the many other audio-record specialty apps if you just want to record your guitar and a few other acoustuc elements. The quote in the Acid promotional material referring to "unlimited audio tracks" (I have one right in front of me) is a bald-faced lie. If you do want to use Acid for its loop capabities, just remember its audio tracks are very limited and prone to glitching on playback, dependent on hardware and optimization. Don't assume you can just lay down a lot of guitar and vocal tracks and have them all play back in sync without pops and zaps. Other apps can do this, not Acid.

Have fun from there. I have the full version of vegas so when I'm done with my drum tracks in acid I "render each track as a separate file" and then import 10-20 or so tracks in vegas and finish my recording over dubs from there. Vegas LE gives you 8 tracks so you could bounce your tracks to free up more space to work. Later.
