I would like to know how I can use ACID's midi capabilities to use the software with my A4000 sampler. i.e. midi sync, triggering playback (i.e. is it the sampler that triggers acid or vice versa, or is there an option for either?).

you cant. Acid Pro isnt THAT good! you need Cubase or Logic for something like that
