Subject:SF 5.0 display problem Posted by: pbeshuk Date:4/22/2002 8:42:48 PM Does this happen to anyone else: occasionally, when I click on the Save or Save As or Cut icons, small areas of the display in the workspace or toolbars will disappear and my Windows desktop will show thru. Sometimes reclicking around these areas will restore part of the missing display piece. Sometimes the missing display area is in the waveform area and it eventually goes away, perhaps when the cursor plays over that area. If the missing chunk is normally a toolbar icon, that area is rendered inactive (in fact, if a clickable area of my Windows desktop is showing, that desktop area/icon will work as usual if I click on it.) thanks.

I am using the german version of W2k and although SF claims with every update for SF5 to have fixed this display problems with non-english versions of W2k, i do still have this problem. Sometimes it looked like it had been fixed, with Version 5.0e for instance, but it again got worse with Version 5.0f. No, i don't have the latest Driver for my Matrox G400,for i don't use drivers that have not been certified for W2k, but i do have the last one certified by MS-WHQL.

Sounds like a video driver problem. Have you tried getting the latest video drivers for your video card?

I am using the german version of W2k and although SF claims with every update for
