Newbie has Problems with Capture

Hi Vegas Gurus!

I tried to do my first captures with Vegas Video 3.0a Build 107. Everything works fine, except after ending the capture no file is captured! The only thing i can capture are still pictures.

My System: W2K, Service Pack 2, Direct X 8.1, Sony PC100, PAL

Device Control etc. works fine. The only thing i notice is, in Sonic Video Capture under Video and Microsft DV Camera and VCR Capture Properties everything is grayed out!?

Any Idea?

Hi Christian,

More than likely this is caused by the "Minimum clip length(seconds)". You can change the setting in Video Capture under "Options/Preferences". Just remove the checkmark.
In my configuration (Sony DHR-1000VC with Adaptec Fireconnect 4300) the settings under Microsoft DV Camera & VCR capture are also grayed out.Not sure why but capturing works very well.

We've seen this happen with PAL devices only...very strange. I'm unable to repro with our JVC GR DVL-300 PAL device...We'll try to get a repro and see if this can be fixed in a future release.
