Hello everyone...
new computer arrived after my Aurora crashed once too many times...
packed it off to my son in NYC for a better view of the city...
and in the hands of an owner who can really tinker with stuff... (grin)
* * *
The new computer (Digital Storm Slade 2) needed a few inexpensive
tweaks to perform and capture what I need to continue doing what I do...
I purchased an AVerMedia conversion kit with a USB on the computer
side and composite (3 RCA cables) and an S-video cable.

My Sony vid capture keeps telling me:
It could not start due to an error. Make sure the program is not
Device manager sees the USB device.
But the VCR will not appear... and no video is played or captured.
I'll post a picture of the error screen - once I review how to do it...
(it's been too long... sigh)
well... that didn't work... I tried to load an image from Flickr... (sigh)
I'll play with it later...
Until that time... Earl J.
