Can Vegas Open Movie Studio Files?

I have a high school client who is producing a documentary for an educational contest that will ultimately end up here for audio sweetening and such. They've asked for editing software recommendations, and since I have VP13 I'd obviously prefer they work in compatible software. But I can't find any info on the Sony site about whether Movie Studio files can be opened or imported into VP. Possible?

Should work, but .veg files from Pro won't open in Movie Studio.
Test the trial version first.

Thanks. Yeah, I've never even seen Movie Studio, so I don't even know what type of files it generates. I'll try to find time to install the demo and check it out, but I'd love to hear from someone who has actually done this successfully.

I do have MovieStudio 13 and VP13 on my Surface Pro 3 and yes, VP13 can open the files but it's a one way ticket.

Great, thanks. Just had a quick chat with Sony Support, and she also verified that MS projects will open intact in VP, including effects. Good to know.
