choppy preview of 4K clipsVMS13 Platinum?

Just shot a series of clips in my iPhone 6S+ at 4K/2180p/30 fps/75mbps using the FilmicPro app. The clips play beautifully on my Dell laptop using VLC Media player - specs: Windows 7 64 bit, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA 4GB Video RAM.

When I try to view the clips in VMS13 Platinum Build 955, I cant preview the clips smoothly. I can add them to the timeline and do a Dynamic RAM preview but if I make any edits to the timeline, I have to re-preview the clips again to get smooth playback. This is really time consuming and quite a hassle.

SONY gives the impression that VMS13 can work well with 4K video. Is it just sales hype? Is this standard for the software not to be able to preview the 4K clips with smooth playback before adding them to the timeline? I am pretty sure I have enough RAM and VRAM to handle the task. Please let me know if I am missing something to be able to do a smooth preview playback.
Thanks!

Any help from Creating proxy files for high-definition editing?
Right-click the clips in the Project Media window and choose Create Video Proxy from the shortcut menu.

Thank you so much! These look like great tips that I did, in fact, not see prior to this. I am going to follow the directions and will check in back with you as soon as I see the results.

Warm Regards,
